MİTAŞ Machine Inc. while aiming for excellence in production since its establishment in 1949, has embraced leaving a more livable world for future generations as a corporate responsibility. In our manufacturing journey that started in Gaziantep and expanded nationwide, a holistic sustainability approach that blends industrial success with environmental and social responsibility has been adopted. From the first domestic air brake systems in 1962 to today's high-tech defense and textile industry solutions, we have always progressed by placing efficiency and the optimum use of resources at the center of our operations.

Sustainable supply chain principles are implemented in our high-volume manufacturing operations, which exceed 1,100,000 units, conducted within strategic projects carried out with the Ministry of National Defense and MKE (Mechanical and Chemical Industry). Green engineering approaches have been developed to minimize our carbon footprint at every stage, from raw material selection to R&D processes. By adopting the circular economy model in our production lines, an infrastructure aiming to minimize raw material waste rates and bring the recycling rate of industrial waste to 100% has been established.

The blending of the knowledge and technological ideas of the 2nd and 3rd generations in our company's management has also shaped our sustainability investments. Energy efficiency is our most critical priority in machining and textile machinery manufacturing activities carried out across our 4,200 m² factory area. Smart energy management systems and high-efficiency motors, which consume less energy compared to traditional systems, have been integrated into our technological next-generation production lines. Thus, while increasing our production capacity, we resolutely reduce our greenhouse gas emissions per unit of product.

Sustainable Production and Green Technologies

With our technologically advanced and eco-friendly machinery park, our main sustainability headings are as follows:

• Green Engineering in the Defense Industry: Implementation of next-generation surface treatment technologies that eliminate environmentally harmful chemical processes in all military equipment production, including the MPT-76 and G-3 bayonet projects,
• Energy-Efficient Textile Solutions: Adoption of eco-design principles in textile machinery and spare parts offered to the global market, enabling our customers to achieve energy and water savings as well,
• Low-Carbon Yarn Heat-Setting Technologies: Use of high-level insulation technologies that prevent thermal losses in closed tunnel system and low-investment-cost acrylic heat-setting machines, the manufacturing of which began in 2013 and 2014,
• Zero-Waste Goal in Mold Manufacturing: Prevention of raw material waste in shoe sole mold manufacturing thanks to simulation software that optimizes material utilization,
• Clean Production Methods: Minimization of chemical waste generation by continuously recovering cutting fluids and oils used in machining processes through centralized filtration systems.

In its global export network extending from China to America, and from Brazil to Uzbekistan, MİTAŞ Machine Inc. exports not only high-quality machinery to all world markets, but also sustainable technologies fully compliant with international environmental norms (RoHS, REACH, etc.).

Since our establishment, our company has adopted the principle of continuous research and closely following green technologies to maintain a high technological level. By conducting the necessary R&D studies regarding the manufactured product and production method, eco-friendly devices and equipment that maximize energy and resource efficiency while shortening production times are rapidly integrated into our machinery park.

A total of 18 high-tech CNC Metal Working machines, including C, Y, and multi-axis variants within our facility, operate with minimum start-stop costs and high energy savings thanks to predictive maintenance and automation systems.
